My Biggest Giveaway Ever!

**This giveaway is now closed!**

I thought today would be a good day for a giveaway!

Why?

Because I’ve been meaning to do one for a long time now.

Because I’m tired of looking at this giveaway stuff sitting in my dining room.

Because the holidays are approaching.

Because I’m feeling thankful.

Because it rained here today.

Because your comments make my day, even though I don’t always have time to respond to them.

Because my Pumpkin Crunch Cake post is blowing up on Pinterest and that really tickles me.

Just because!

So what’s up for grabs?

The giveaway includes:

  • Organizing Utility Tote from Thirty One
  • Get Clean Household Mini Kit from Shaklee
  • Organized Simplicity, by Tsh Oxenreider
  • Simple Food for Busy Families, by Jeannette Bessinger and Tracee Yablon-Brenner
  • 14.5 oz. Pumpkin Patch Scented Candle from Slatkin & Co
  • Glee Presents The Warblers CD

That’s over $130 of goodies, just for you!  My biggest giveaway ever!

These are just a few of my favorite things, and I wanted to share them with you.  Just so we’re clear, this is NOT a sponsored giveaway.  This stuff was all selected and purchased by me over the last few months to give to you.

Here’s how to enter the giveaway:

No jumping through hoops.  One entry per person.   Just leave a comment answering the following question:  What are you thankful for?

That’s it!

The winner will be announced on November 20th.

Good luck and thanks for reading The Picky Apple!

I am thankful first and foremost, to have such a loving God.  I am so thankful for my beautiful & healthy family.  This year, I am also thankful that my marriage & family have been able to make things work out.  Also, I am thankful for being able to stay home with my 2 little ones, and very thankful for finding this blog!

I am thankful for my fabulous husband and all that he does to support our family, my wonderful daughter for the joy she brings to my life.  I am also thankful to have a job that I enjoy.  Oh and another thing, I’m thankful for the Picky Apple blog.  I’m not a very creative person and your posts help to give me inspiration.  Thanks so much for your blog!

So thankful for the love of my family (husband and two teenagers) and the fact that we are happiest when we are all together.  When we’re busy and running in four different directions at full-speed we can’t wait to return home to each other.

I’m thankful for time with my family. It’s sad that it sometimes takes a life-changing illness to make you realize how much people mean to you. I’m happy for each day I get to spend with my mom! 🙂

I am thankful that my 2nd grader is finally excited to go to school!  He has “misbehaved” at school since pre-school and we recently decided to have him evaluated by his pediatrician… who referred us to a psychologist… who diagnosed him with ADHD.  While it’s not the news we wanted to hear, my little man is now on a (lowest possible) low-dose stimulant to help him control his impulses at school.  I’m very thankful that he doesn’t feel like the “bad” kid in the class and is making some new friends. 🙂

What am I thankful for? There are so many things to be thankful for…good health, family & friends, etc. More than anytthing, I am thankful for my mother. My parents got divorced when I was in 1st grade and my mother worked 3 jobs while going to school to make things ok for my brother and me. Now, 17 years later, my mother still does all she can for us. Both us kids are now in college and she supports us every single day with our dreams. She has never given up on us and has loved us unconditionally. I know that I can be difficult at times but I am so thankful for having the best mother ever!

I am thankful for the little things that occur on a daily basis when you have children. The smile on my 8 month olds face when he is almost to sleep in my arms and I kiss him, the way my 2 year old says “tinkey-bale” instead in tinkerbell, when my three and a half year old tells me she wants to be like me when she grows up. Our house is often complete and udder chaos and I feel like I cant always get it all done. But then these little moments happen and I am so thankful for these three little beings that I am so blessed to call mine. They are the lights of my life! With an amazingly wonderful, sweet, loving and supportive husband to top it all off I am so thankful to be just right where I am in this life…just taking it all in!

My list is long, but i’ll try to keep it to the most recent ones on my mind. I”m thankful for a loving God who knows what’s next in my life, who knows that my 10 week old fetus that I just miscarried 2 weeks ago is better off in heaven than down here with me, who loves me and holds me even when I cry out ‘WHY’? I’m thankful for a husband that loves me, supports me and encourages me. I’m thankful for different food we can have each day, for the clean air we can breathe and for the life that I have been given, all the good and the bad. I’m thankful for this blog I found and the yummy hash-brown baskets that are baking in the oven as we speak.

I am thankful for all the people in my life..those who support me through the hard times, those who help me to never lose sight of reality :), some who help keep me in check by making sure I attend church, and the list goes on and on. I am extremely thankful for my kids…they are the ones who give me not only hugs, kisses and squeals of laughter, but also teach me some of the most important of lifes lessons: humility, patience, gratitude, grace, love, hope as well as a reminder of how tender and sweet and amazing life can be 🙂 I am grateful to have a place to “crash” while I go through hard times (again) and (I know it sounds cheesy) but for every breath that I take in, each and every day.

I’m thankful that after a year of being unemployed, my husband has started law school.  We had to move 2000 miles and I never see him.  But I know that we are moving forward and that’s such a blessing.  It’s not easy, but the things that are hard are worth it.  Thanks for such a great blog to read everyday and for an awesome giveaway!
