At least once a week, I let The Little Apple pick a snack to make. \u00c2\u00a0All of the “experts” say that getting kids to help in the kitchen will help get them interested in food. \u00c2\u00a0That doesn’t necessarily hold true for The Little Apple<\/a>, but I keep on trying.<\/p>\n

We usually check out my Kids Snacks<\/a> board on Pinterest for ideas. \u00c2\u00a0This week, The Little Apple picked these Chocolate PB Banana Bites<\/a> from nom!nom!nom!. \u00c2\u00a0I also thought he would enjoy making some chocolate covered banana “popsicles” covered\u00c2\u00a0in sprinkles, so we did that too. \u00c2\u00a0This isn’t my first go ’round with frozen bananas…remember my Banana Ice Cream<\/a>? \u00c2\u00a0These Banana Bites and Popsicles are so fun and easy to make.<\/p>\n

There’s not much of a recipe for either of these….<\/p>\n

To make the Chocolate PB Banana Bites<\/span>: \u00c2\u00a0Place banana slices on a sheet of wax paper. \u00c2\u00a0Top each banana slice with about a teaspoon of peanut butter (or almond butter!). \u00c2\u00a0Then melt some chocolate (I used chocolate chips with a teaspoon of coconut oil added), and drizzle the chocolate over the banana bites (this step not pictured). \u00c2\u00a0Freeze for a few hours, then enjoy!<\/p>\n

To make Chocolate Covered Bananas<\/span>: Place a popsicles stick in several bananas. \u00c2\u00a0Melt some chocolate (with a teaspoon of coconut oil added). \u00c2\u00a0Use a spoon to coat all sides of the banana. \u00c2\u00a0Then apply sprinkles. \u00c2\u00a0Freeze for a few hours, then enjoy!<\/p>\n
