href=\"https:\/\/www.thepickyapple.com\/blog\/2010\/11\/13\/pepperoni-rolls\/\">kinds<\/a> of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thepickyapple.com\/blog\/2010\/06\/07\/chicken-and-spinach-alfredo-pizza-with-garlic-rosemary-foccacia-crust\/\">homemade pizzas<\/a> for dinner and we also love to eat <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thepickyapple.com\/blog\/2011\/02\/23\/pumpkin-waffles\/\">breakfast for dinner<\/a>, I decided to combine the two and make a Breakfast Pizza.\u00c2\u00a0 It turns out that I&#8217;m not the only person who has ever had such a genius idea, and I found many a recipe to choose from.\u00c2\u00a0 I&#8217;m getting more and more comfortable with reading a few recipes and then just doing my own thing once I get the general idea, and that&#8217;s exactly what I did here.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thepickyapple.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/Breakfast-Pizza-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6434\" and hearty, our pizza was a little <em>too<\/em> meaty with not quite enough hash browns.\u00c2\u00a0 I&#8217;d also like to emphasize how important it is to create a TALL ridge of crust around the edge to keep the egg from running out.\u00c2\u00a0 I <em>thought<\/em> mine was tall enough, but then made a HUGE mess of my oven as the egg ran everywhere!\u00c2\u00a0 I&#8217;ll probably throw in some peppers or salsa next time for extra spice.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thepickyapple.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/Breakfast-Pizza-2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" Pizza<\/h3>\n<p>recipe by me<\/p>\n<p>Ingredients:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thepickyapple.com\/blog\/2008\/01\/19\/self-rising-pizza-crust\/\">pizza dough<\/a> (make your own or buy frozen dough)<\/li>\n<li>8 oz breakfast sausage<\/li>\n<li>4 slices of bacon, cooked and crumbled<\/li>\n<li>2-3 cups of frozen hash browns<\/li>\n<li>2 cups shredded cheddar cheese<\/li>\n<li>4 eggs<\/li>\n<li>2 tablespoons milk<\/li>\n<li>salt and pepper<\/li>\n<li>1 jalapeno diced (optional)<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 cup salsa (optional)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Cook breakfast sausage until completely brown and crumbled.\u00c2\u00a0 Drain on paper towels, and set aside.\u00c2\u00a0 Cook hash browns until crispy.<\/p>\n<p>Preheat oven to 450 degrees F.<\/p>\n<p>Roll out pizza dough on pizza stone or cookie sheet.\u00c2\u00a0 Be sure to make the crust tall around the outside to help keep the egg from running out.<\/p>\n<p>Sprinkle the ground beef and bacon over the pizza dough.\u00c2\u00a0 Then top with the hash browns.\u00c2\u00a0 Sprinkle jalapeno and\/or salsa, if using.<\/p>\n<p>In a small bowl, mix eggs with milk and salt and pepper until combined.\u00c2\u00a0 Then pour evenly over the sausage and hash browns.\u00c2\u00a0 Top with cheese.<\/p>\n<p>Bake at 450 degrees F for 30 minutes or until crust has browned and eggs are set.\u00c2\u00a0 (And to be on the safe side, place foil underneath to catch any egg overflow.)<\/p>\n<p>Allow to cool for 5-10 minutes before slicing.<\/p>\n<div class=\"linkwithin_hook\"
