(His current favorite ice cream is <a href=\"http:\/\/www.haagen-dazs.com\/products\/product.aspx?id=370\">Haagen Dazs Five Milk Chocolate<\/a>)\u00c2\u00a0 On the other hand, I&#8217;m on the &#8220;dessert is an occasional treat, not something you need after every meal&#8221; plan.\u00c2\u00a0 But I do loooooooove ice cream.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thepickyapple.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/Banana-Ice-Cream.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6371\" title=\"Banana Ice Cream\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thepickyapple.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/Banana-Ice-Cream.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"557\" height=\"407\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.thepickyapple.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/Banana-Ice-Cream.jpg 557w, https:\/\/www.thepickyapple.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/Banana-Ice-Cream-300x219.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 557px) 100vw, 557px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I heard\/read somewhere (though I have no idea where) that frozen bananas can make a great substitute for ice cream if you pulse it in a food processor for a minute or two until it is a custard-y texture.\u00c2\u00a0 And it absolutely tastes like ice cream, particularly if you love Chunky Monkey Ice Cream.\u00c2\u00a0 I like to add chopped pecans, coconut and (sometimes) chocolate chips to mine.\u00c2\u00a0 A teaspoon or so of Nutella mixed in the food processor is pretty fantastic too!<\/p>\n<div class=\"linkwithin_hook\" id=\"https:\/\/www.thepickyapple.com\/blog\/2011\/05\/03\/banana-ice-cream\/\"><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Littlest Apple frequently eats ice cream after dinner as a high calorie sweet treat.\u00c2\u00a0 Remember, he&#8217;s on the &#8220;eat all the milk and butter in the land&#8221; plan to gain weight.
