{"id":6273,"date":"2011-04-20T18:06:06","date_gmt":"2011-04-21T00:06:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thepickyapple.com\/blog\/?p=6273"},"modified":"2011-04-20T18:06:06","modified_gmt":"2011-04-21T00:06:06","slug":"easter-cross-suncatcher","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thepickyapple.com\/blog\/2011\/04\/20\/easter-cross-suncatcher\/","title":{"rendered":"Easter Cross Suncatcher"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Today was The Littlest Apple&#8217;s class Easter Party and Egg Hunt.\u00c2\u00a0 For the last few days, I&#8217;ve been busily prepping the craft and taking care of last minute party details.\u00c2\u00a0 Things went SO smoothly today.\u00c2\u00a0 Our best party yet!<\/p>\n<p>I love this craft!\u00c2\u00a0 You&#8217;ve seen variations of it before: the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thepickyapple.com\/blog\/2010\/02\/11\/heart-suncatchers-and-valentines-popcorn-mix\/\">Heart Suncatchers<\/a> from last year&#8217;s school party and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thepickyapple.com\/blog\/2010\/08\/05\/rainbow-sun-catchers\/\">Rainbow Suncatchers<\/a> we did with the Art Playgroup (I miss you guys!).\u00c2\u00a0 It&#8217;s simply 2 pieces of clear contact paper with tissue paper sandwiched between.\u00c2\u00a0 For this cross variation, I also added a black construction paper outline to emphasize the shape, and I&#8217;m so glad that I did.\u00c2\u00a0 The black outline really stands out!\u00c2\u00a0 This craft required lots of cutting on my part-28 crosses (1 front, 1 back for 14 kids), the black outline piece, and all of the tissue paper squares.\u00c2\u00a0 The results were definitely worth it though.\u00c2\u00a0 The kids and moms all loved this one.\u00c2\u00a0 It&#8217;s great for fine motor skills, too!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thepickyapple.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/04\/Easter-Cross.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6274\" title=\"Easter Cross\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thepickyapple.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/04\/Easter-Cross.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"557\" height=\"835\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.thepickyapple.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/04\/Easter-Cross.jpg 557w, https:\/\/www.thepickyapple.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/04\/Easter-Cross-200x300.jpg 200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 557px) 100vw, 557px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thepickyapple.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/04\/Easter-Cross-2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6275\" title=\"Easter Cross 2\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thepickyapple.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/04\/Easter-Cross-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"557\" height=\"432\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.thepickyapple.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/04\/Easter-Cross-2.jpg 557w, https:\/\/www.thepickyapple.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/04\/Easter-Cross-2-300x232.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 557px) 100vw, 557px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>They look so beautiful hanging in the window with the sun streaming in.\u00c2\u00a0 A perfect little reminder of the true meaning of Easter!<\/p>\n<div class=\"linkwithin_hook\" id=\"https:\/\/www.thepickyapple.com\/blog\/2011\/04\/20\/easter-cross-suncatcher\/\"><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Today was The Littlest Apple&#8217;s class Easter Party and Egg Hunt.\u00c2\u00a0 For the last few days, I&#8217;ve been busily prepping the craft and taking care of last minute party details.\u00c2\u00a0 Things went SO smoothly today.\u00c2\u00a0 Our best party yet!
