Cutter Peppermint Bark"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I hadn&#8217;t tried peppermint bark until this year.\u00c2\u00a0 I&#8217;m not sure why.\u00c2\u00a0 It&#8217;s delicious!\u00c2\u00a0 And based on the number of recipes I&#8217;ve seen for peppermint bark in magazines and blogs this holiday season, it seemed pretty easy to make.\u00c2\u00a0 No baking necessary.\u00c2\u00a0 Just melt the chocolate, spread it out, sprinkle with crushed mint candies.\u00c2\u00a0 I saw a particularly cute idea on <a href=\"http:\/\/tidymom.net\/2010\/holiday-baking-christmas-tree-peppermint-bark\/\">Tidy Mom<\/a> recently using cookie cutters to shape peppermint bark into trees.\u00c2\u00a0 I took that idea and ran with it, using my entire bucket of cookie cutters.\u00c2\u00a0 I LOVE how cute these are, and I&#8217;m looking forward to including them in this year&#8217;s Cookie Boxes.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thepickyapple.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/Peppermint-Bark.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-5276\" Bark<\/h4>\n<p>Adapted from <a href=\"http:\/\/tidymom.net\/2010\/holiday-baking-christmas-tree-peppermint-bark\/\">Tidy Mom<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Ingredients:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>2 bars semi sweet chocolate<\/li>\n<li>2 bars white chocolate<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp. peppermint extract, divided<\/li>\n<li>crushed peppermint candies<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Chill your cookie cutters until ready to use.\u00c2\u00a0 Cover a baking sheet with parchment paper, then arrange cookie cutters on the baking sheet.<\/p>\n<p>Break up bars of semi sweet chocolate and place the pieces in an icing decorator bag.\u00c2\u00a0 Twist the end of the bag, and microwave for 30 seconds.\u00c2\u00a0 Knead chocolate, then microwave for another 30 seconds.\u00c2\u00a0 Repeat until chocolate is melted.\u00c2\u00a0 Add 1\/2 teaspoon of peppermint extract, and knead chocolate again.\u00c2\u00a0 Cut the tip of the decorator bag.\u00c2\u00a0 Pipe into the cookie cutters (holding the cookie cutters in place).\u00c2\u00a0 Be sure to get chocolate in all the corners!\u00c2\u00a0 Place the cookie sheet into the freezer for 10 minutes to allow the chocolate to harden.<\/p>\n<p>Now repeat the process with the white chocolate.\u00c2\u00a0 Don&#8217;t forget to add the peppermint extract!<\/p>\n<p>Sprinkle with crushed peppermint candies, and lightly press down.\u00c2\u00a0 Freeze for 10 minutes until top layer has hardened.\u00c2\u00a0 Carefully pop the peppermint bark out of the cookie cutters, and keep wrapped in wax paper in the fridge until ready to serve or gift.<\/p>\n<div
