{"id":4863,"date":"2010-11-13T21:31:22","date_gmt":"2010-11-14T03:31:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thepickyapple.com\/blog\/?p=4863"},"modified":"2010-11-13T21:31:22","modified_gmt":"2010-11-14T03:31:22","slug":"pepperoni-rolls","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thepickyapple.com\/blog\/2010\/11\/13\/pepperoni-rolls\/","title":{"rendered":"Pepperoni Rolls"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Picky Apple and The Littlest Apple LOVE pizza.\u00c2\u00a0 I like it, but it&#8217;s not usually my first choice.\u00c2\u00a0 Always on the search for something The Littlest Apple will eat, I decided to try a new spin on homemade pizza and calzones by making pepperoni rolls.\u00c2\u00a0 These turned out better than expected, and The Littlest and Pickiest Apple even nibbled a few bites and said &#8220;I LIKE pepperoni rolls!&#8221;\u00c2\u00a0 The ultimate compliment indeed!<\/p>\n<p>Pepperoni rolls are best when fresh, so after preparing them, I&#8217;d advise freezing any extras before baking.\u00c2\u00a0 This recipe is more about the method than the exact measurements, but I&#8217;ve tried to note approximate measurements below.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thepickyapple.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/Pepperoni-Rolls.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-4871\" title=\"Pepperoni Rolls\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thepickyapple.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/Pepperoni-Rolls.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"557\" height=\"371\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.thepickyapple.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/Pepperoni-Rolls.jpg 557w, https:\/\/www.thepickyapple.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/Pepperoni-Rolls-300x199.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 557px) 100vw, 557px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h4>Pepperoni Rolls<\/h4>\n<p>recipe by me<\/p>\n<p>Ingredients:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Frozen bread dough (I used Rhodes rolls)<\/li>\n<li>Pepperoni<\/li>\n<li>Italian blend cheese (0r mozzarella), shredded<\/li>\n<li>Garlic Salt<\/li>\n<li>2 tablespoon Butter<\/li>\n<li>Pizza Sauce<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Place frozen rolls on a pre-greased cookie sheet and cover with plastic.\u00c2\u00a0 Allow to thaw in a warm place for 3-5 hours, or until rolls begin to rise.\u00c2\u00a0 (I used my oven with just the oven light on.)<\/p>\n<p>Using a rolling pin, roll out each roll to a 6-8&#8243;
