{"id":3521,"date":"2010-07-02T14:59:46","date_gmt":"2010-07-02T20:59:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thepickyapple.com\/blog\/?p=3521"},"modified":"2010-07-02T14:59:46","modified_gmt":"2010-07-02T20:59:46","slug":"my-flag-wreath-was-featured-on","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thepickyapple.com\/blog\/2010\/07\/02\/my-flag-wreath-was-featured-on\/","title":{"rendered":"My Flag Wreath Was Featured On&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Earlier this week I posted my <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thepickyapple.com\/blog\/2010\/06\/27\/flag-wreath\/\">wreath made with flag toothpicks<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thepickyapple.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/07\/Flag-Wreath-3.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3525\" title=\"Flag Wreath 3\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thepickyapple.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/07\/Flag-Wreath-3.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"557\" height=\"417\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.thepickyapple.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/07\/Flag-Wreath-3.jpg 557w, https:\/\/www.thepickyapple.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/07\/Flag-Wreath-3-300x224.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 557px) 100vw, 557px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This was one of the first craft projects shared on the blog, and on a whim, I decided to include it in a couple linky parties\/contests featuring a red, white, and blue theme.\u00c2\u00a0 I have been absolutely AMAZED and flattered by how popular this little project has become!\u00c2\u00a0 As a result, my blog page views have more than doubled this week, and my normally quiet little blog of mine is getting lots of comments.\u00c2\u00a0 I&#8217;ve also heard from many of you via comments, email, and Facebook that have been inspired to make your own wreath, too.\u00c2\u00a0 And it&#8217;s all thanks to the following blogs for featuring my flag wreath:<\/p>\n<p>First, my project was featured on the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bystephanielynn.com\/2010\/06\/sunday-showcase-quick-peek.html\">Sunday Showcase at Under the Table and Dreaming<\/a>.\u00c2\u00a0 There were 192 entries this week!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bystephanielynn.com\/2010\/06\/sunday-showcase-quick-peek.html\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3523\" title=\"sunday showcase feature\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thepickyapple.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/07\/sunday-showcase-feature.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"175\" height=\"176\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.thepickyapple.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/07\/sunday-showcase-feature.jpg 175w, https:\/\/www.thepickyapple.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/07\/sunday-showcase-feature-150x150.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 175px) 100vw, 175px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Then, out of 147 entries in the <a href=\"http:\/\/thecsiproject.com\/2010\/06\/29\/welcome-to-the-red-white-and-blue-challenge\/\">CSI Project: Red White and Blue Challenge<\/a>, my flag wreath made the <a href=\"http:\/\/thecsiproject.com\/2010\/07\/02\/winners-of-the-red-white-blue-challenge\/\">Top 10<\/a>!!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/thecsiproject.com\/2010\/07\/02\/winners-of-the-red-white-blue-challenge\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3522\" title=\"top-10-Project-300-thecsiproject.com_\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thepickyapple.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/07\/top-10-Project-300-thecsiproject.com_.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"246\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Tidy Mom included my flag wreath in her <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tidymom.net\/2010\/07\/im-lovin-it-patriotic-style.html\">I&#8217;m Loving It-Patriotic Style post<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.modsblog.com\/2010\/07\/patriotic-wreath-with-toothpicks.html\">mod blog<\/a> also dedicated a post entirely to my flag wreath.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/nyclq-focalpoint.blogspot.com\/2010\/07\/thrifty-thursday-1-lamp-love-3-diys-and.html\">Focal Point<\/a> included the flag wreath on a roundup of patriotic DIY projects<\/p>\n<p>I feel like I&#8217;m forgetting someone, so if you featured my flag wreath, just send me an email or comment here, and I&#8217;ll add a link back to your blog!\u00c2\u00a0 Thanks again everyone, you made my week!\u00c2\u00a0 Who knew a little flag wreath made with toothpicks would be so popular?!<\/p>\n<div class=\"linkwithin_hook\" id=\"https:\/\/www.thepickyapple.com\/blog\/2010\/07\/02\/my-flag-wreath-was-featured-on\/\"><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Earlier this week I posted my wreath made with flag toothpicks.
