Brownies"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Martha has never let me down in the dessert department, and this recipe from Martha Stewart&#8217;s Cookies is just what I was looking for.\u00c2\u00a0 I wanted brownies with a little extra kick that would go with my menu for the week.\u00c2\u00a0 This week&#8217;s menu included both Orange Ginger Chicken (recipe coming soon) and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thepickyapple.com\/blog\/2009\/06\/14\/slow-cooker-pork-tacos\/\">Slow Cooker Pork Tacos<\/a>.\u00c2\u00a0 These brownies turned out perfectly and were super easy to Stewart&#8217;s Cookies<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Ingredients:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1\/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, plus more for baking dish<\/li>\n<li>3 ounces bittersweet chocolate, coarsely chopped<\/li>\n<li>1 cup sugar<\/li>\n<li>2\/3 cup all-purpose flour<\/li>\n<li>1\/4 cup unsweetened Dutch-process cocoa powder<\/li>\n<li>2 large eggs<\/li>\n<li>1 teaspoon grated peeled fresh ginger<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 teaspoon ground ginger<\/li>\n<li>1\/4 teaspoon coarse salt<\/li>\n<li>1\/8 teaspoon ground cloves<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.\u00c2\u00a0 Butter an 8-inch square baking dish.\u00c2\u00a0 Line bottom with parchment, allowing 2 inches to hang over two sides.\u00c2\u00a0 Butter lining (not overhang).<\/p>\n<p>Melt butter and chocolate together in a medium saucepan over medium-low heat, stirring until smooth.\u00c2\u00a0 Remove from heat, and stir in remaining ingredients.<\/p>\n<p>Pour batter into prepared dish.\u00c2\u00a0 Spread evenly with a rubber spatula.\u00c2\u00a0 Bake until a cake tester inserted into center comes out with moist crumbs, 30 to 35 minutes.\u00c2\u00a0 Let cool in pan on a wire rack 15 minutes.\u00c2\u00a0 Lift out, and let cool completely on rack.\u00c2\u00a0 Cut into sixteen 2-inch squares.\u00c2\u00a0 Brownies can be
