It has been a while since I shared what The Littlest Apple is reading.\u00c2\u00a0 We’ve got tons of new books right now, not only from Christmas, but also from a fruitful trip to the library last week.\u00c2\u00a0 I’m hoping to share more of these over the next couple of weeks.<\/p>\n

How Do Dinosaurs Eat Their Food?<\/a>, by Jane Yolen: The Littlest Apple loves all the books in this series (we’ve also got How Do Dinosaurs Go to School?).\u00c2\u00a0 Fantastic illustrations of all kinds of dinosaurs I can’t pronounce, and a short, funny little lesson about appropriate behavior.<\/p>\n

\"How<\/a><\/p>\n

If You Take a Mouse to the Movies<\/a>, by Laura Numeroff: We love all of the books in this series that we’ve read so far, and this was a great one just in time for Christmas.\u00c2\u00a0 We particularly liked seeing the mouse make and decorate ornaments for the tree!<\/p>\n

\"If<\/a><\/p>\n

Machines at Work<\/a>, by Byron Barton: A serendipitous library find for my little truck lover.\u00c2\u00a0 The Littlest Apple couldn’t wait until we got home to read this one, and made my husband read it to him several times in the library.\u00c2\u00a0 This book consists of brightly colored illustrations of construction machines and short 3-4 word sentences on each page.\u00c2\u00a0 The Littlest Apple has already memorized most of the text, and re-enacts this book with his trucks, screaming out phrases from the book like, “Knock down that building!” and “Dump that rubble!”<\/p>\n

The Truck Book<\/a>, by Harry McNaught: A few weeks ago, my parents brought down several boxes of children’s books from their attic.\u00c2\u00a0 This book was in that collection, clearly belonging to my brother way back in the 80s.\u00c2\u00a0 The Littlest Apple LOVES this book!\u00c2\u00a0 It’s got detailed illustrations of many different kinds of trucks, ranging from old time milk trucks and tank trucks to telephone pole planters, buses, and firetrucks.\u00c2\u00a0 A great find for any little truck lover!<\/p>\n
