This is pretty much how my mother makes them too! They are so amazing, even two of my three kids will eat them. And for some reason, even with my gastroparesis, I am able to eat them too… they are SO good – I will eat THESE as the main dish in my dinner.

My husband, oldest daughter, and I LOVE them. My husband makes a very similar recipe, but roasts them in the oven with olive oil. We will definitely have to try these. Bacon makes everything better, right?
